John Cena receives first-ever 300th Wish Award October 19th
Posted by Christen on October 19th | 0 Comments | Filed under Appearences, News

GLENDALE, Ariz. — John Cena became the first recipient of the 300th Wish Award Thursday night at the Evening of Excellence held by Make-A-Wish! With more than 300 wishes and counting, the WWE Superstar was honored for granting more wishes than anyone else in Make-A-Wish history. He was presented the award by wish mom, Judith, whose late son, Justin, was the second Wish child Cena ever met.

Cena granted his record-breaking 300th wish to Jonathan Littman, 7, in June, an honor that was also celebrated on ABC’s “Good Morning America.” He has been personally granting wishes for more than eight years. The awards celebration honored wish kids and celebrity wish granters who have achieved special milestones with the organization. Aside from Cena’s 300th Wish Award, other honors given out were the Infinite Wish Award, the Power of One Award and the Chris Greicius Award, which Cena won in 2009.

Honorees included celebrities who have granted 200 wishes, such as singer Katy Perry and singer/actress Selena Gomez — who delivered taped messages at the event — and Oklahoma City Thunder head coach Scott Brooks, who was in attendance.

We here at JCenation.com would like to say Congratulations to John Cena keep up the amazing work!

Cena thanked everyone for packing the house and said that he would be back when he’s able to wrestle. Cena was interrupted by WWE United States Champion Antonio Cesaro. Cesaro ripped on Cena for not facing him but Cena introduced his replacement, World Heavyweight Champions Sheamus. Sheamus went on to beat Cesaro and then sign autographs for fans at ringside.

John Cena To Debut Pink Attire September 16th
Posted by Christen on September 16th | 0 Comments | Filed under News

John Cena’s new favorite color? Pink.

The decorated pro wrestler, a product of West Newbury and 12-time World Wrestling Entertainment champion, is set to unveil his new Susan G. Komen for the Cure pink ring attire tonight at the TD Garden for the “Night of Champions” pay-per-view event. While most eyes will be glued to the wrestling action inside the squared circle, the real story with Cena is his work outside of the ring. Cena will be wearing his new gear through October, which is National Breast Cancer Awareness Month. The mission of Susan G. Komen for the Cure is to eradicate breast cancer, which can be a deadly opponent when not treated early. Cena’s “Rise Above Cancer” endeavor is just a part of what makes him one of the most charitable celebrities in the world.

“One of the reasons I really wanted to do something with Susan G. Komen is because of my brother,” said Cena, 35. “Early detection saved his life.” Cena’s youngest brother, Sean, learned last November that he had brain cancer. “Sean’s doing extremely well,” said Cena. “It was an inoperable brain tumor, but one of the main reasons he’s done well is the early detection. I know it’s brain cancer and breast cancer, but that key is early detection.”

20 Memorable Superstar Debuts September 3rd
Posted by Christen on September 3rd | 0 Comments | Filed under News, WWE Articles

#4 John Cena- On June 27, 2002, the Superstar who would become one of WWE’s most polarizing figures and forever change the course of sports-entertainment history made his debut, answering an open challenge from Kurt Angle. His name? John Cena. Just days after Mr. McMahon delivered a rousing speech to the WWE locker room about possessing “ruthless aggression,” the then-unknown Cenation leader answered the gold medalist’s challenge on SmackDown. When Angle asked Cena what made him special, the West Newbury, Mass., native cited the very trait The Chairman was looking for: ruthless aggression.

With a powerful haymaker, the future “Champ” went on the offensive and gave Kurt Angle — a former WWE Champion and one of the greatest amateur wrestlers of all time — a run for his money. In countering both the Angle Lock and Angle Slam, Cena proved he was a force to be reckoned with.Though he was ultimately unsuccessful that evening, the Cenation leader earned the respect of his fellow Superstars, including then–Undisputed Champion The Undertaker. Since his unexpectedly intense debut, Cena has become a 12-time World Champion and one of the greatest Superstars of all time.
